How to Remove Chocolate from Clothes
Removal Method
1
Let melted chocolate dry and harden completely. Scrape off as much solid chocolate as possible with a butter knife or spoon.
2
Rinse the back of the stain with cold running water to push the chocolate out of the fibers.
3
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain. Rub gently. Let sit 10 minutes.
4
Wash in the warmest water safe for the fabric. Check before drying.
💡 Alternative Method
For dried chocolate: soak in cold water with 1 tbsp enzyme-based detergent for 30 minutes before washing.
🚫 What NOT to Do
- Do not use hot water initially (chocolate contains oils that spread with heat)
- Do not rub melted chocolate (spreads it)
