How to Remove Red Wine from Upholstery

This stain sets quickly. Start treatment as soon as possible for the best results. The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to remove completely.
Removal Method

Blot immediately with a clean white cloth. Do not rub.

Sprinkle salt generously over the wet stain. Salt absorbs the wine. Let sit 5 minutes.

Vacuum the salt. Mix 1 tbsp dish soap + 1 tbsp white vinegar + 2 cups cold water. Apply with a cloth, blotting.

Blot with plain cold water to rinse. Blot dry. Repeat if needed.
