How to Remove Sunscreen from Clothes
Removal Method

Scrape off excess sunscreen with a butter knife.

Apply dish soap directly to the stain. Work in with your fingers. Dish soap cuts through the oil base of sunscreen.

Let sit 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Apply again if needed.

Wash in the warmest water safe for the fabric. Check before drying.
💡 Alternative Method
OxiClean paste applied for 30 minutes before washing.
🚫 What NOT to Do
- Do not use bleach on sunscreen stains (the avobenzone in sunscreen reacts with bleach and turns orange/pink permanently)
- Do not put in dryer until clean
🔄 If Nothing Works
Enzyme-based pre-soak for 2 hours.
