Difficulty Medium

Removal Method

1

Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide (3%) + 1 part baking soda + 1 part water into a paste.

1 min
2

Apply the paste generously to the yellow armpit stains. Work it into the fabric with a soft brush.

3 min
3

Let sit for at least 30 minutes. For severe stains, let sit 2-4 hours.

30 min - 4 hours
4

Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Check before drying.

1 cycle
💡 Alternative Method

Aspirin method: crush 4 aspirin tablets, dissolve in 1/2 cup warm water. Soak the stained area for 2 hours. The salicylic acid breaks down the aluminum-protein compound causing yellow stains.

🚫 What NOT to Do
  • Do not use chlorine bleach on sweat stains (bleach reacts with the proteins in sweat and makes yellow stains worse and more permanent)
  • Do not iron over sweat stains (heat sets them)
🔄 If Nothing Works

Oxygen bleach (OxiClean) overnight soak.
